WHO WE ARE...
The Kristin S. Conrad Lace Center is the first educational nonprofit lace center on the East Coast
of the U.S. and is dedicated to the history and practice of lacemaking.
At the heart of the Lace Center, you will find a museum with lace and textile works created by
Kristin Conrad, other masterpieces by lacemakers spanning four centuries, and her resource library. Following the
Foundation's mission, the Lace Center offers weekly lacemaking space for the local guild and a
demonstration area. The Center is a venue for an after-school youth program.
The Kristin S. Conrad Lace Center Foundation's priority is to provide a permanent home for the
Lace Center and form an essential infrastructure for programming for the future.
